How are hard SAT math questions different from the rest?
Rarely by the arithmetic. Hard SAT math questions usually add a step before the math starts — an extra translation from words to a relationship, a unit that changes underneath you, or a question that asks for something other than the variable you solved for. That is why the repair for a missed one is almost never more practice on the formula.
