Given to you on test day

On screen

This is the reference sheet inside Bluebook. Knowing it is on screen is worth more than memorizing it — what costs points is not recognizing which one a word problem is asking for.

The other half

Not given — know these cold

None of these appear on the reference sheet, and between them they cover most of the Math section. This is the half of the page worth studying.

SourceThe given list mirrors the reference information shown inside Bluebook on the Digital SAT, checked on 2026-08-03. The second list is Kaoshen's, drawn from the relationships the official skill descriptions assume you already have.

Why a sheet is not enough

Recall is the easy half of a formula

Nobody loses points on the SAT because they cannot write the quadratic formula. They lose points because a word problem describes a relationship and they do not notice which formula it is describing.

So the useful way to read this page is backwards: pick the row that does not feel automatic, open the skill it links to, and answer questions until the shape of the prompt is what triggers the recall.

What memorizing alone costs you

  • You remember the formula but miss the setup inside a word problem
  • Unit and scale traps stay invisible until a timed section
  • The sheet becomes a reading task instead of a repair path
  • Harder questions feel random because the relationship is never named

How to use it

Three passes over one sheet

  1. Mark what is not automatic

Read down the second list and stop at the first line you had to think about.

  2. Open the linked skill

Answer before opening any hint, so the miss is a real one.

  3. Name the failure

Recall, setup, units, or interpretation. Only the first one is a formula problem.

FAQ

Questions students ask before they use it

Does the SAT give you a math formula sheet?

Yes. The Digital SAT shows reference information inside Bluebook — the circle, triangle, and volume formulas listed in the first group on this page. It stops there, which is why the second group matters more.

Which SAT math formulas are not on the reference sheet?

Slope, slope-intercept and vertex form, the quadratic formula, the equation of a circle, the distance formula, exponential growth and decay, percent change, mean, probability, and the trigonometric ratios. Between them they cover most of the Math section.

Can I print this SAT formula sheet?

Yes. Use your browser's print command or save as PDF. It is typeset text rather than an image, so it stays sharp on paper and readable by a screen reader.

Is this a SAT cheat sheet?

It is a study sheet. During the test you have only the official reference information; the useful part of this page is knowing which question type each relationship belongs to.

Full practice

Beyond the sheet

A reference tells you the relationship. Only a question tells you whether you can spot when it applies.

Skill mapping

Every formula here links to the official SAT Math skill that tests it.

Question pressure

Practice forces you to recognize the relationship before you can use it.

Trap feedback

Wrong answers separate a recall problem from a setup, unit, or interpretation problem.

Canonical pages

One stable URL per question, so review goes back to the same place.

Retest path

The skill returns after three days and again after fourteen.
